Let Me Grow

I began reflecting on the need to heal parts of the body that have been stigmatized and demonized among African Americans and others across the African Diaspora. For generations, our hair has been a source of both pride and ridicule. Let Me Grow was created from this reflection, incorporating the crystals that recur throughout my practice as symbols of restoration and self-acceptance.
